Wednesday, September 20th marks the first of our live-music/glam-punk-soul-DJ Mash-Ups… It is also Harry Bridgen’s ‘Travelling All-Star Soul Circus’ Birthday Party. Harry is 21 again – so we have arranged some very special entertainment in keeping with those glory days of flares, platforms and TOTP… Back by popular demand, we have Kevano (Ballrooms of Mars) performing his Marc Bolan tribute… but this time Kev is joined by Julian Shah-Tayler (Electric Duke/Band Who Fell to Earth) appearing as David Bowie. In this unique and unmissable performance Kevano & Julian will be recreating moments from Bowie’s fateful performance on the Marc show – where the pair performed ‘Heroes’ together… This final show was recorded on 7 September 1977, but not broadcast until after Bolan’s funeral on 20 September 1977… 40 YEARS LATER, to the day. So – grab your glad rags and glitter make-up to celebrate Marc, David and Harry – in what will also include a night of UK All-Star DJs playing Glam, Punk and Sweet, Sweet soul music!
